Before paying:
- Confirm that the address bar shows the correct domain and an HTTPS connection.
- Review the privacy policy, refund terms and processor name.
- Avoid payment links received through unexpected messages.
- Use card security features such as transaction alerts or a virtual card if your bank provides them.
- Contact your bank immediately if you notice an unauthorised transaction.
PCI DSS compliance reduces payment-security risk but does not guarantee that a website can never be compromised or that every transaction is risk-free. Any compliance claim should identify the current standard, responsible payment processor and verification status.
